LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Excel Laser for Hair Removal

Our Excel HR is specifically designed for safe and effective laser hair removal on all skin and hair types. Excel HR can be used on legs, back, arms, face, underarms, and bikini line, and results can be seen after a series of treatments. In addition to laser hair removal, Excel HR can be used to address dark spots, visible veins, and skin imperfections that need revitalization. With the versatility and wide range of capabilities of Our Laser treatments, it is great for hair removal and skin concerns.

Our excel HR combines the gold standard laser wavelengths for hair removal. The 755 nm Alexandrite laser is highly absorbed by melanin making it an ideal solution for finer hair on skin types I-III. Because of the high melanin absorption characteristics, it has also been proven to provide long-term results on epidermal pigmented lesions.

The 1064 nm Nd:YAG is the safest wavelength for permanent hair reduction on darker skin types and tanned skin.

Unique truPulse technology delivers constant, sustained energy throughout the pulse duration to ensure consistent performance and proven clinical outcomes for our patients.  The index matching allows backscattered light to escape, further protecting the epidermis from heat build-up while maintaining treatment efficacy.

Excel HR utilizes sapphire contact cooling to provide continuous cooling, maximizing our patients’ comfort and treatment safety. In a patient preference study that measured comfort and satisfaction for laser hair removal, 100% of the patients preferred excel HR over a comparable, competitive laser hair removal procedure.

GentleYag Laser

We also have a Syneron-Candela Nd:Yag Laser called GentleYag with Zimmer Cryo cooler for hair removal treatments. The Gentle Laser Hair Removal from Candela penetrate the hair follicle with light energy, destroying it at its root while preserving the surrounding skin fast.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING TREATMENT?

Treatment will take place in your practitioner’s office.
You will wear safety eyewear to protect your eyes from the laser light. Your practitioner will guide the laser to the treatment areas with a small handpiece. Each laser pulse may be preceded and followed by a short pulse of cooling spray.
A treatment could take as little as a few minutes to as long as an hour, depending on the area and condition being treated.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR TREATMENT?
Patients scheduled for hair removal should avoid plucking, electrolysis or hair waxing for six weeks prior to treatment. If you have a history of herpes simplex virus and are scheduled for laser treatment, prophylactic antiviral therapy may be prescribed. Also, your skin should be clean shaven, and your skin should be thoroughly cleansed and dried, removing any makeup, creams, oils, topical anaesthetics or self-tanning products before laser treatment.
The intended treatment area should not be exposed to sunlight or tanning booth light for 14 days prior to treatment. Before laser treatment, prevent sun exposure by applying sunblock (SPF 30 or above).

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?
A cool compress or gel pack may be applied for comfort following your treatment. Any redness or swelling should resolve within a few hours.

WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOULD I TAKE AFTER TREATMENT?
After laser treatment, prevent sun exposure by applying sunblock (SPF 30 or above). In the first few days after treatment, don’t scrub or rinse the treated areas with abrasive skin cleansers. Your practitioner may advise additional precautions.
